Transaction, Currency Policy

1. Introduction

This policy explains the currency in which transactions on our website are processed and confirms that we sell and dispatch goods exclusively within the United Kingdom. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale and should be read alongside our Shipping Policy, Returns Policy and Privacy Policy. By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this policy.

We operate in accordance with UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. Transaction Currency

2.1 Pounds Sterling (GBP)

All prices displayed on our website are quoted, and all transactions are processed and settled, in Pounds Sterling (GBP, £). GBP is the contractual currency of every order. We do not display, accept or settle prices in any other currency.

2.2 Payments from non-UK cards

If you choose to pay using a card or payment account issued outside the United Kingdom, or one denominated in a currency other than GBP, your bank, card issuer or payment provider will convert the GBP amount into your local currency using their own exchange rate at the time the transaction is authorised. We do not control this rate. The amount that ultimately appears on your statement may differ from the GBP figure on our website due to:

  • the exchange rate applied by your card issuer on the date of authorisation;
  • any foreign-transaction, cross-border or currency-conversion fees charged by your issuer.

We recommend you check with your bank before placing an order if you wish to understand the final cost in your local currency.

2.3 Refunds

All refunds are issued in GBP to the original payment method used for the order. Where the original payment was made using a non-GBP card, the amount you receive in your local currency may be higher or lower than the amount originally debited, due to exchange-rate fluctuations between the date of purchase and the date of refund. We are not liable for any such differences or for any fees charged by your card issuer in connection with the refund.

2.4 VAT

Prices shown on our website include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable. A VAT invoice is available on request once your order has been dispatched.

3. Export Restrictions — UK Sales Only

3.1 We do not ship outside the United Kingdom

We are a UK-based retailer and currently sell and dispatch goods only to delivery addresses within the United Kingdom, namely England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We do not export goods, fulfil international orders, or arrange shipping to any address outside the UK, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, unless expressly stated otherwise on the relevant product page.

3.2 Orders with non-UK delivery addresses

If you place an order specifying a delivery address outside the United Kingdom, we will not be able to fulfil it. In such cases we will:

  • cancel the order;
  • refund the full amount paid to the original payment method; and
  • notify you by email at the address provided at checkout.

Please ensure the delivery address you provide is within the United Kingdom before completing your purchase.

3.3 Onward export by the customer

Once goods have been delivered to a UK address, ownership and risk pass to you. If you subsequently choose to forward, carry or re-export those goods outside the United Kingdom — whether personally, by post, or through a freight-forwarding service — you do so at your own risk and on your own responsibility. You are solely responsible for:

  • complying with the export laws of the United Kingdom and the import laws of the destination country;
  • obtaining any export or import licences that may be required;
  • paying any duties, taxes, handling fees or other charges levied in the destination country.

We accept no liability for any loss, damage, seizure, delay or additional cost arising from the onward export of goods after they have been delivered to your UK address. Goods that are forwarded out of the UK after delivery cannot be returned to us under our standard Returns Policy.

3.4 Use of UK freight forwarders

We do not knowingly accept orders that are placed using a UK-based freight-forwarding or parcel-forwarding service for onward shipment outside the UK. If we identify that a delivery address is a freight-forwarding facility being used to circumvent our UK-only policy, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the amount paid.

4. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or our business practices — for example, if we begin offering international shipping in the future. The version in force at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The current version is always available on our website.
